Job summary:

DTx is looking for an MSc in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or similar areas to join the research team of the project “LEIMSA – Lightweight Electronics by Injection Molding in Seamless Architecture”, POCI-01-0247-FEDER-048378, financed by Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização, supported by FEDER. The project aims to develop disruptive components for the automotive interior of the future, integrating the IMD (In-Mold Decoration), IML (In-Mold Labeling), and IME (In-Mold Electronics) technologies to achieve intelligent and tactile 3D surfaces, with an attractive design and immersive HMI for a truly user-centered experience. The consortium for this project is led by Simoldes Plásticos, with Celoplás, Bosch, CEiiA, Universidade do Minho and DTx CoLAB as partners.

 

Applicant’s profile:

DTx is looking for an MSc in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or similar areas to join the research team of the project “LEIMSA” project. Profiles with training in Biomedical Engineering or Physics are also eligible. Proven previous experience in hardware programming and embedded systems is required and experience in the area of printed and flexible electronics is a preferential factor.

 

Responsibilities:

The selected profile will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of the state of the art and technical specifications of features and technologies, especially regarding capacitive sensors with haptic feedback;
  • Design and development of firmware to control capacitive sensors with haptic feedback, sensors and printed circuits;
  • Firmware development for characterization and functional validation systems;
  • Support in the conception, design and validation of printed circuits and PCBs and integration of technologies in functional prototypes;
  • Writing scientific articles in the area of printed electronics and haptic feedback.
