Job summary:

DTx is looking for a Ph.D. in computer science or similar areas to join the research team of the project project “NeWeSt – New generation of cyberphysical Weighing Systems”, POCI-01-0247-FEDER-069716, which has a total investment of € 1.314.170,87, financed by Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização, supported by FEDER, under the terms of the notice for submission of applications no. 17/SI/2019. The NeWeSt project aims to promote a paradigm shift in the weighing systems ecosystem, both in terms of concept, technologies used and business models by developing: (i) a cloud platform for aggregating data and services, with IoT data acquisition; and (ii) smart devices, which incorporate digital load cells with innovative sensors, IoT devices and firmware. The consortium for this project is led by Cachapuz – Weighing & Logistics Systems, Lda, with INL – International Nanotechnology Laboratory, Universidade do Minho and DTx – Digital Transformation CoLAB as partners.

 

Applicant’s profile:

DTx is looking for a Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar areas to join the research team of the project “NeWest” project. Proven previous experience in the areas of cybersecurity, computer networks or data science, both in terms of basic and applied research is required. Demonstrate knowledge on blockchain and/or machine learning. The candidate must also have experience in programming languages and tools, such as C/C++, Python, Java, TensorFlow, and Pytorch.
