Job summary:

DTx is looking for a MSc in computer science or similar areas to join the research team of the project project “NeWeSt – New generation of cyberphysical Weighing Systems”, POCI-01-0247-FEDER-069716, financed by Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização, supported by FEDER, under the terms of the notice for submission of applications no. 17/SI/2019. The NeWeSt project aims to promote a paradigm shift in the weighing systems ecosystem, both in terms of concept, technologies used and business models by developing: (i) a cloud platform for aggregating data and services, with IoT data acquisition; and (ii) smart devices, which incorporate digital load cells with innovative sensors, IoT devices and firmware. The consortium for this project is led by Cachapuz – Weighing & Logistics Systems, Lda, with INL – International Nanotechnology Laboratory, Universidade do Minho and DTx – Digital Transformation CoLAB as partners.

 

Applicant’s profile and requirements:

DTx is looking for a MSc in Computer Science or similar areas to join the research team of the “NeWest” project. Proven experience working with cloud technologies like Azure or AWS. The candidate should be familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization and microservices, as well as, experience in developing, testing and deploying using Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) processes.

In the context of the project, DTx expects candidates capable of building advanced data architectures and pipelines on IoT platforms.
