Ana Colim, technical coordinator of the Ergonomics and Engineering Psychology group at DTx – Digital Transformation CoLAB, was part of the International Scientific Committee and moderated the “New Trends” session at the SHO 2025 – International Symposium Occupational Safety and Health which took place at the Faculty of Sport of the Universidade do Porto.

During the symposium, André Cardoso, a PhD student from the Universidade do Minho, hosted by DTx (with an MIT Portugal Program scholarship) presented a paper as part of the I-CATER project – Intelligent Robotic Coworker Assistant for Industrial Tasks with an Ergonomics Rationale. This article was honoured with the event’s Best Book Chapter award and will soon be published as a chapter in a book published by Springer.

This hybrid event brought together participants from 20 countries, led to the publication of 119 scientific articles (with contributions from a total of 380 authors) and was marked by inspiring sharing, many new ideas and innovative projects in the areas of Ergonomics, Safety, Hygiene and Occupational Health.
